St Pierre Groupe has won a Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade, which has been fuelled by major success in the States after being named the fastest growing bakery brand in the US.
St Pierre Groupe - the international branded bakery business that recently rebranded from Carrs Foods - scooped the UK’s highest accolade for business success in export. St Pierre Groupe takes home the prize for its growth in overseas sales over the past three years; increasing annual international sales by 159% as a result of significant US growth.
Manchester-based St Pierre Groupe is an international market leader in the bakery sector with a brand portfolio that includes St Pierre, Baker Street and Paul Hollywood. The St Pierre brand is now the fastest growing bakery brand in the US.
Founded by Jeremy Gilboy and Paul Baker, the company has a growing global presence, and now provides bakery products to the UK, US and Europe, with products sold in more than 35,000 stores worldwide.
Increasing international sales to 51% of revenue, St Pierre Groupe has already increased turnover to £69m in 2018. With over 150 bakery products selling in the UK, its export range now has more than 85 products, with 60% of its volume in the US. St Pierre Groupe’s turnover is forecast to more than double in the next three years, aiming to reach £150 million by 2022.
