Cirencester-based Neon Play has become the UK’s first mobile games studio to win a Queen’s Award for Innovation. Founded in 2010 by Oli Christie and Mark Allen, Neon Play has achieved 50 million downloads
of their games on Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.

With sales in 155 countries and 10 number one hits around the world, Neon Play has launched 15 separate games that have achieved over one million downloads. Their major hits include Flick Football, Paper Glider and Traffic Panic.
Having grown to 17 people in a short period of time, Neon Play has been built on a strong culture where everyone has great ideas and people are the most important asset. There are 10 reasons to join Neon Play including: every new starter gets £100 to buy the company a present; we give 1% of our profits to local charities; and there is a posh bog role guarantee!
Innovating constantly in an ever-increasingly competitive global market, Neon Play has become established as one of the top mobile games studios in the world without any VC funding or external investment.
Paper Glider also became Apple’s 10 billionth app download, resulting in global coverage when the company were only 8 months old. They have won 15 awards since then.
