Cambridge, UK: Prism Media Products Limited, trading as 'Prism Sound', builds professional audio and home entertainment products. Founded in 1987 by Graham Boswell and Ian Dennis, Prism Sound serves broadcast, film, music production, home entertainment and automotive audio markets.
Prism Sound's expertise in electronics and signal processing is the heart of the business and enables it to provide audio test & measurement solutions to other manufacturers including some of the largest international consumer electronics companies and many smaller specialist manufacturers.
Prism Sound also utilises its high-performance audio technology to create professional audio products for music and sound production. Customers include the legendary Abbey Road Studios, as well as many world famous musicians and recording professionals.
Prism Sound also provides bulk recorders for legislative assemblies such as the UK parliament where a continuous record of debates is required. Other applications include monitoring broadcast news feeds from around the world and communications monitoring for 
law enforcement and intelligence purposes.
In 2008 Prism Sound acquired SADiE, a software tool for sound recording and editing for radio, music production, film, television, sound design and live sound. SADiE is used by leading broadcasters and production companies worldwide, including government broadcasters like the BBC. The majority of 
the BBC's national radio drama, documentary and current affairs programmes are produced using SADiE.
In 2010 Prism Sound acquired the business of Imerge Ltd, manufacturing home entertainment servers for audio and video playback throughout the home. The convergence of computer, internet and broadcast technology, along with the evolution of digital audio and video, are delivering exciting opportunities for Imerge in the connected home.

Prism Sound has a sister company, Prism Media Products Inc, with offices in New Jersey and California, USA. PMPI also acts as US distributor for other UK audio manufacturers, whose products complement the Prism Sound product range.
