Avon Metals, the Gloucester based manufacturers of aluminium master alloys, high integrity casting alloys and non- ferrous metal traders, are proud to have been awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise 2009 in Sustainable Development.
This award is recognition of Avon's outstanding achievements and commitment to total sustainability within the recycling industry. Managing Director, Steven Munnoch confirms "Refusing to rely on a 'we recycle' mantra to demonstrate commitment to sustainability, Avon have instead developed a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy to ensure and deliver ambitious environmental sustainability governance."
This is Avon Metals' second Queen's Award following on from a recognition for International Trade in 2007.
